When a child’s illness is not responding to treatments and has reached a critical stage where nothing more can be done medically., it’s easy to lose sight of the importance of family time. Kristie’s provides opportunities to share a special memorable time. A time to cherish forever.

Family Fun Events
By participating in the family support events offered by Kristie’s Foundation, families have opportunities to build relationships with other families going through similar circumstances, spend quality time together outside of the hospital, and get to know Kristie’s compassionate staff and volunteers. Many of our volunteers have been through your journey and walked in your shoes. Family support activities can range from a fun filled day at a local park, a day at the beach, or even a day at one of Southern California’s theme parks.
If a child is not responding to traditional treatment and they are home on hospice care/comfort care, Kristie’s provides some very special assistance. We have a team of caring nurses who can come alongside the family and help them through this journey with our RN's, Certified grief specialist, and volunteers.
Parent to Parent
Comfort can come from many different places. Kristie’s has partnered with bereaved parents whom have gone through the struggles of losing a child. These parents can support you and help you find a path to healing.
Kristie’s has experienced, compassionate staff members who are available to walk you through this difficult time. We have personal relationships with several caring funeral homes in Southern California and Arizona who take special care of our kids and their families. They offer their professional services at a discounted rate. Additionally, financial assistance is available to help families who are struggling with the cost of basic cremation or burial services; priority is given to families who are actively enrolled in Kristie’s family support programs.
We also offer Resources and emergency funds for groceries, gas, and special needs when a child is home on hospice/comfort care
